Highly Topical in 2011, many lenders will not consider proposals for development of extensions or new care homes. Accordingly, we are busy refinancing customers to banks which are keen to assist.

Equally topical is that one high street bank is controversially trying to renegotiate long term loans with its customers by trying hard to find a breach of covenant. Customers are quite rightly furious at the underhanded methods and come to us for refinance.

Recently returned to the market is REIT funding, otherwise known as Sale and Leaseback. Some customers wishing to retire or semi-retire have been able to realise cash from the sale of their care facility but continue to enjoy the post-rent profit of a lease.

Capital Raising has all but disappeared from the menus of most banks. However, we still have valuable sources for this, indeed we are currently raising a very significant sum for a customer to build a mansion!
